NextStart is an incredibly powerful replacement for the Windows Start Menu, system tray, and Taskbar. It is, of course, fully skinnable, with a wide range of themes supplied with the package, and many hundreds more available online. NextStart is also far more than just a pretty face, offering fully configurable menus that can float anywhere on the desktop and can be called up with a simple mouse click, hotkey combination, or by a simple by "bump" at the edge of the screen with the cursor. NextStart also offers built-in file browsing and task management, supports full drag-and-drop functionality (both to and from menus), and includes many other amazing features, including full theme integration with Workshelf. NextStart version 2.51 has too many updates and enhancements to list, but NextSTART now truly offers all the advantages of the Windows Start Menu with the full power and skinning abilities of NextSTART. Workshelf is a skinnable, multipage, tabbed desktop replacement. It can be used as a simple dock positioned anywhere on your screen, or can alternatively be resized to almost full-screen size, offering a quick and efficient way of launching applications, accessing recent documents, managing your Internet connections, and much more. Workshelf also supports plug-in modules. Modules currently featured include a fully skinnable talking clock and animated recycle bin, which may be displayed either within Workshelf itself or as a free-floating window on your desktop. Version 2.65 of Workshelf allows you to display anything in one easy-to-access WorkShelf tab, from virtual folders like My Computer and Recycle Bin to any physical folder on your hard drive. Also included is Fontbrowser, a simple method for previewing and managing fonts, inspired by the font panel from the NeXTSTEP OS. NextStart and Workshelf are far more than just two related applications. They are designed to integrate seamlessly with one another--change the theme in NextStart or Workshelf, and the other application will automatically change to match. Likewise, Workshelf can use the current NextSTART theme to skin its context menus. It also has the ability to allow a NextStart menu to be launched by a shelf object.
